Easy Lentil Dahl.


Fry in a little Olive Oil;

3 finely diced brown onions.

4 grated Carrots.

4 finely diced Celery stalks.

4 cloves of Garlic.

2 teaspoons of grated Ginger.

3 tablespoons of Garam Masala

3 tablespoons of Cumin.

3 tablespoons of Paprika.

3 tablespoons of Curry Powder. 

1 tablespoon of Cinnamon.

1 tablespoon of Tumeric.

Stir fry until spices have coated veggies and onions and are toasted and smelling delicious. Then add to this;

1 kilo of well rinsed, mixed dried Beans and Lentils. Sometimes named ‘soup mix’

Stir fry a little more and then add;

3 litres of Stock.

Bring to boil and then let simmer untiit all thickens together forming the Dahl. I like to simmer mine for 2 hours.

Before serving stir through;

5 freshly diced Tomatoes.

Serve with fresh Chili and a scoop of Natural Yoghurt.
